3rd Annual Cape Fear Battle of the Breweries Blood Drive

Every two minutes, someone in the United States needs lifesaving blood. The American Red Cross is proud to partner with the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance, WECT, and Cumulus Media Group to co-host the 3rd Annual Cape Fear Battle of the Breweries Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Coastline Convention Center in Wilmington. 23 local breweries and bottle shops are joining in a friendly competition to see how many of their loyal patrons will donate a pint of blood while voting for their favorite place to get a pint of the best beer and cider in North Carolina.

Donors will receive a special limited-edition t-shirt adorned with the logos of all 23 breweries and bottle shops along with a wooden token from the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance that they can exchange for a pint at the brewery or bottle shop of their choice. The winning brewery or bottle shop will receive a custom surfboard trophy and bragging rights for 2024! And most importantly, our local hospitals will receive the lifesaving blood they need to care for patients.
